I had a main bladder which was called "3 litres" but really only held two and a bit, and two 1 litre bottles. One of these I used to top up the bladder through the day, and I could then get the boys to refill it and put a Micropur tab in ready for the next top up. The other I mixed gatorade in every morning so I had at least 3 litres of water…[Read more]

It's absolutely essential. You have to keep drinking water, all day long, and by far the easiest way to do this is with a bladder. Get something at least 2 litres. You do not want to run out up a long hot climb. Most in my group also carried another bottle as well, which was used for sterilisation and mixing electrolytes into. Some had nalgene…[Read more]

I managed to read your trek report yesterday before it was gone. It's a great read and I can't see any reason why it would have been removed. Maybe you should post it again here.

Thanks Pathfinder. At least now I know I'm not the only one…A guy at our local camping store suggested I take two poles for trekking to help with this problem, but I don't want to be bringing excess baggage with me and also, what happens if I need a hand from those precious, priceless porters? If I have two trekking poles and then I need a…[Read more]

Hey I get a similar thing, and I am 6'1" my right arm is the arm I use for the walking stick so it is moving a bit, however my left arm just hangs there and it swells slightly and goes pale, and I guess it does get a little cold. So the movement of your arms maybe the reason. We are a strange bunch us humans lol

So yes, we can organise it on your behalf but you would have to plan it so that you flew…[Read more]
