Congratulations are in order as Pat Vainerere and his three trekkers walked off the track earlier today in Kokoda. The mobile service has been out of order so have not been able to speak to them but heard 30 minutes ago from another staff member in Kokoda that they arrived and went on down to Orohaven Pija for the night.

Think of them tonight sitting around a campfire at Goldie River enjoying their last night of their walk. Tomorrow they will walk up the hill and under the archway around 8am in the morning.

This trek is now at Efogi II. According to Harold, everyone is doing well. Earlier this morning the were eager to hear the footy scores re Sea Eagles and Rabitohs game. This trek as planned got away from Kokoda this morning and headed for Isurava Village. All trekkers did ok today. They got away around 7am from the archway at Kokoda and arrived at Isurava Village at 3pm.

Trekkers walked through the Kokoda Archway having completed their successful trek around 1:30pm today. Later after a walk around the museum area, they headed off down to where they are overnighting at Orohaven Pija. Tomorrow morning they will fly back into Port Moresby. Trekkers arrived at Isurava Village around 5pm this afternoon. The area they walked in today has experienced some heavy rain and some landslides.
