Trek 457 headed out first today to Kokoda on a Tropic Air flight around 8am. Trekkers included:

Rebecca Thorn; Ananth Rajaratnam; Lara Condon and Daniel Burke

All looked excited but at the same time a little nervous!

Photograph: Taken shortly before they boarded their flight to Kokoda. Two other trekkers from trek 450 were also on the same flight.

Update 20th March: Trekkers reached Isurava Village last night where they spent the night. Early this morning they walked up to the Isurava Monument area.

Around 1pm we received a radio call saying everything was ok and that they were heading towards Templeton's 2 where they planned on stopping for the night.

Tomorrow they will walk to the village of Efogi.
