    Hi guys,

Galen here from trek 354, (the super trek). I am just posting to thank Gail for providing the logistics needed to make the trek so safe, memorable and enjoyable.

A big thank you to all the KTL boys who not only provided amazing support and assistance, but also became my friends. You are all amazing guys and should be proud of yourselves for performing your jobs so efficiently and affably.

I, and a couple of my trekker-mates, were fortunate enough to be invited into your homes and to meet your loved ones and that personal touch made the trek so much more valuable. On returning home I have told everyone how amazing you boys all are, how strong and capable and also how friendly you are. Thank you so much for everything; your company was enjoyable.

I read the post regarding the troubles in the Oro province and other areas with distress and hope that my Papuan friends and family are all safe. I will send on the items and pictures discussed with you before I left so keep an eye on the mail boys.

    Let it flow.

    Galen.

thanks Galen for your nice words. Its us that should thank you for completing your trek successfully and for choosing our company to walk with you on the Kokoda Trail.

Our KTL staff thoroughly enjoyed the company of all trekkers who walked on Trek 354.

In fact you were all so lucky to get out of Kokoda as it continued to rain and no flights got in until Sunday after your flight so you could have been stuck there a whole lot longer. The province has now been declared a 'State of Emergency' and most of the bridges washed out.

All our staff and their families are ok as they are from in and around Kokoda. It only affects the lowlands down to the coast. Kokoda is now isolated and residents cannot get into Popondetta to top up on supplies nor can the shops in Kokoda so no doubt items such as rice, sugar, etc will or could become very expensive to purchase if they cannot re stock.

A big thank you from all of us.
