Their guide Rod Ori phoned by sat phone to inform us they have all reached Naoro safely. Lorna and Victor got in last but all were in good shape and doing well. Our food porters arrived first around 5pm to set up camp.

Trek 247 : Two trekkers namely Colin and Robyn has an awful time just arriving here in PNG. Colin phoned up from Brisbane to say despite being booked months in advance they were offloaded by Air Niugini due to double bookings and that they would not be arriving until mid afternoon today.

I suggested they change to fly via Cairns and come up with Airlines of PNG. They did this and arrived here in Port Moresby at 8:55am this morning after having been up since 3am.

Russell suggested to their guide Salvador that they have a short day and spend the night at Uberi.

Salvador called in tonight and said they had reached their destination and that both trekkers were doing ok.

Trek 158: Trekkers reached the Menari yesterday and tonight are at Naoro Village and are on schedule to come up at Ower's Corner this coming Thursday.

Their guide Tarina said they were all in good spirits and whilst he was talking to us, we could hear them in the background having a great time.

Trek 183: Trekkers Tim Polson, Grant Gunthorpe, Kamahl Barhoush, Matthew Hogan, Simon Provost, Cameron Provost, Luke McDoldrick, Mal & Tristan have all arrived safely at Iora Creek where they will camp for the night.

When I spoke to Tim he seemed quite excited and happy. Their guide Paul said trekkers were doing just fine. Cameron did it tough on day one and asked for a personal porter. All other trekkers so far are continuing to carry their own pack.
