MemberMark Westman arrived in Port Moresby after his flight had been delayed around 4pm on Friday afternoon.
We met him at the airport and after a short detour to Boroko Foodworld to purchase a spare battery for his camera, our driver drove him and his porters out to Ower's Corner for the commencement of his trek.
Mark as a big ask as he has to catch up with two other treks we have on the go and is doing a 5 day trek and plans on walking out in Kokoda on Tuesday 20th June and flying back into Port Moresby on Wednesday 21st June.
Mark is a vet and has come up to work and found a window of opportunity to walk the kokoda track before he started work. A representative from the RSPCA met him at the airport.

MemberWe were all hanging out on the radio tonight as we waited to hear if Mark was going to reach Kokoda in time to spend the night and fly back in tomorrow.
However, we need not have panicked as he arrived safely and according to other trekkers by sat phone he went to sleep very early tonight as he was really tired and exhausted by his 5 day trek.
Mark will spend a couple of extra weeks in PNG working for the RSPCA.
