MemberEx trekkers Peter & Michael Holles along with their mate Whammy (Evan) and other hash runners hit the track yesterday morning. Unfortunately the road was too wet to get them right down to Ower's Corner so they had to commence their trek at Vesulugo.
This trek is being led by Ross Eroro who is on his second trek for the current season. This trek has made us promise to have cartons of beer waiting for them in Kokoda so Peter does not have the tradition of having to sit in a bucket of iced water with his bare bum when he arrives back in Australia.
If Airlines of PNG do not let us down, all 8 cartons as paid for and booked will be in Kokoda iced cold in our fridge waiting for this trek to arrive on the 25th April following the dawn service at Isurava. Trekkers will overnight in Kokoda before flying back in on the 26th April back to Port Moresby.

MemberI spoke with Ross Eroro their guide and last night they were all at Efogi. One guy is struggling and him and Ross got in late at around 8:30pm
Apart from that the trekkers are enjoying themselves and so far are on schedule to arrive in Isurava on the 24th in time for Anzac Day.

MemberOur guide Ross radioed in this morning and said most trekkers had already left the camp and were on the track. This was around 6am this morning. He mentioned the guy who was struggling yesterday seemed ok this morning and had just left before he made his radio call.
They were planning on making Efogi where they would spend the night.

MemberUpdate 22nd April: one trekker, Col Archer was airlifted off today from Brown River.
Col was picked up by helicopter and brought back into town around 2pm this afternoon as he was vomiting and could not keep anything down.
He has been to see the doctor and is ok
