If you talk to an Australian they would say from May/June through to October…..but if you were to ask a Papua New Guinean they would say all year round as they think its more exciting and challenging in the wet…
Why, coz they get to make rafts…..flying foxes to cross over rivers, show off how they can make a fire out of wet wood and basically try out all their boy scout skills.
If you want to trek in the dry than you stick to May/June – October. I trekked last year in November and found it ok and definitely would not call it 'wet'.
Whenever you choose to trek, and you choose Kokoda Trekking, our KTL boys will do their utmost to make sure you have a great adventure and trek no matter what time of the year you come.
