MemberIf you have a registered company in Australia and you are looking for a sub contractor here in PNG to take your trekkers out on the Kokoda Trail, please consider Kokoda Trekking.
At the present time we are sub-contractors for the following companies:
1. PNG Trekking Adventure Tours – Pam Christie
2. Team Kokoda Queensland – Murray JonesBoth these companies can be contacted as a reference if you would like to contact them.
Let us take the worry away from you with regards to:- Shopping for food
- Hiring of experienced guides & porters
- Track Radios
- Pick up/drop off at Ower's Corner or the airport
- Vehicles available for hire both in Port Moresby and Kokoda. In Kokoda we have a Toyota Hilux 4 wheel drive and a 25 seater Mitsubishi Canter. In Port Moresby a 3 Toyota Dyna 25 seater truck and 2 7 seater 4 wheel drive buses.
- Local knowledge – I have lived here since 1972. Russell Eroro whose company takes you on the Kokoda Trail was born in Kokoda and is known as one of the longest walkers on the Trail. His brother John is currently on his 365th trek spanning 20 years. Both brothers are well respected in Kokoda and by all villages along the Kokoda Trail.
- Medevac experience
- Full time radio operator
- No walking through the night unless you are struggling and cant make it into camp. If this happens our porters will do everything in their power to allow you finish your trek.
If you hire our services all you have to worry about is communicating with your trekkers and the training of them and let us take are of all other details such as:
- Trek Passes
- Village accommodaton/village food
- Airfares
- Sing Sing Welcome in Kokoda
- Overnight at Rusty's place in Kokoda situated close to the airstrip which has showers and women who cook up a really nice meal.
- Meet some Oro province people and get a feel of what it is like to live in such a remote area of PNG
- Pick up or drop off at Ower's Corner
We also pride ourselves in taking more trekkers on the kokoda trail than any other trekking company. Due to the care and attention of our porters, even if you are struggling they will do the utmost to get you home by sticking with you and encouraging trekkers all the way.
Our guides and porters are renowned for their singing and playing the uke'ule from start to finish so we even throw in some entertainment for good measure.
