MemberSEVENTEEN trekkers who headed out on the KoKoda Trail on 12th September, 2004 arrived back in Port Moresby yesterday, (20th of September) safe and sound.
The trekkers are now long gone and we still have two more groups of trekkers of the Independence Day still out on the trail. Joining them on the trail right now are 39 trekkers – the largest group of trekkers.

MemberThe school kids of POMIS are now on their way towards Uale Creek where they will be camping for the night. Basically they have two more days to go before arriving in Pom on Thursday (23 of September).
On the same date will also see the very first of our trekkers flying out to Popondetta – where they will be picked up on the new PMV Rusty's KTL1 for a ride back to Kokoda Station. This will also be our very first passengers from Popondetta to Kokoda.
For an enjoyable trip the trekkers on board Rusty's KTL1 will have the pirvilege of visiting old war sites in Buna, Sananda, Gona and then continue ontheir journey towards Kokoda where they will spent the night before trekking.
The group of students are followed by three trekkers who headed out from Ower's Corner on September 18th and recently the 39 trekkers who headed out on a chartered plane towards Kokoda the following day 19th September.
It is an emotional time for this two trekkers whilst at Isurava Memorial Park….CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW TO SEE PICTURES OF THEIR TREK ON THE PICTURE GALLERY
