Today saw our group of 17 trekkers head off to Kokoda to begin their Kokoda Adventure including one University Student and one young lad of 14 years of age.

Also our very first Thai although he prefers to be known as an 'aussie' nowadays having spent many years living there.

Today, Sunday 12th September saw three trekkers head off with the porters and guides from the fast day trek that finished last Friday + myself on the first flight to Kokoda.

Hence, the three became the first trekkers to ride in our newly purchased truck based in Kokoda:

Browsing through Bob McDonald's Kokoda Album which has been compiled in a way that all the history is easily presented and yet it still has room at the back for your own photographs:

Not long after I left them at Kokoda airport today, they would have been driven to the Kokoda Station to look around the monuments and museum before heading off the Russell Eroro's family block for an Oro Province welcome:

Update 13/9/04: All trekkers are doing ok and both Trek 1 & Trek 2 have made it to Isurava for their second overnight. Last night they spent at Russell's home in Kokoda where I visited on Sunday.
