We are all very excited as our very first Japanese trekkers arrive on the 7th March to walk the Kokoda Trail in 6 days and 5 nights.

As Russell has never trekked with any Japanese trekkers he is very keen to lead them to Ower's Corner.

I asked if his legs are enough to do the 6 days and he replied he will try.

    The two trekkers are:

    HIROYA IMANAKA (male)

    and SAYAKA IKEYA (female)

Judging by the emails received, both also cant wait until they take to the trail.
Also heading out on the same day but doing the 9 day 8 night trek are 5 friends from Australia:

Ben O'Callaghan, Vanessa Frick, Chris Smith, Sean Cartwright & Owen Gregory.

We also welcome another international guest, Adam Brent all the way from Chicago, Illinois, USA who will be trekking with the Australians.

Stay tuned as our journalist Alison will be writing an article on their kokoda trek.

Another Japanese trekker joins the team to make 3 in the group. The one just joined must be very fit because he will also climb Mt. Wilhelm after the Kokoda Trail!

    Welcome to PNG!
