MemberLast night we met up with this group of trekkers quite late at the Gateway Hotel due to Air Niugini arriving around 7pm. About 9pm saw us sitting around poolside letting them know we decided to give them a late start so this morning we headed out around 8:30am.
On the way we stopped at Bomana War Cemetery where the photograph below was taken. Trekkers include :
John Wallis; Andrew Kelly; Matthew Kelly; Torsten Chudziak; Rodney Morrison; John Brennan; Edwina Austin; Maureen Price and Victor Anderson

MemberSorry have not heard from the track today so they must be down low. Hopefully tomorrow they will call with an update so stay tuned. As they say no news is good news so they must be doing ok otherwise we would have received a sat phone call.

MemberUpdate 11th August: Arnold made contact today and said last night they stayed at Ofi Creek and today are moving off Nauro and then Agulogo or Menari where they plan on spending tonight.
He said all trekkers are doing just fine and enjoying their trek. They are ahead of the other group who have a lot of their trekkers carrying which has made for slower progress.

MemberUpdate 14th August: Arnold just radioed in to say they had reached the Kokoda Gap and were heading to Eora Creek where they planned to spend the night. He said everyone was doing really well with no problems it seems which is great news.
Last night they spent the night at Myola Junction 1900 campsite.
