Update 19th April 2025

Jack Beach flew into Port Moresby yesterday in readiness for his walk across the Kokoda Trail. Early this morning he was dropped off at 4am to Jackson’s airport along with Russell Eroro who flew over with him to Popondetta on Air Niugini. Russell had a car waiting for them whch he then drove up to Kokoda arriving around 10:30am. At this point Jack met up with Clement Harika his guide along with two food porters, Gary Juary and his brother.

Update 20th April 2025

Trek 1215: I received a message from Clement around 8:30pm last night as follows: ‘Boss Meri’ (it means in their language ‘Boss woman’, we are at Isurava as planned. Tomorrow we are walking to Templeton’s Crossing. If there is enough time we might push on to ‘Dump 1’.
So Jack and the boys did well yesterday especially seeing Jack had a very early start having to be at the airport at 4am for his flight to Popondetta.

They are now on the Kokoda Trail heading to Isurava Village for the night.

Trek 1215: The group have now reached their destination for today being Templeton’s Crossing. Well done team, keep up the good work.

Update 21st April 2025

Trek 1215: Clement said they stopped for a break at Naduri Village this afternoon before heading to Efogi for the night.
He said they are all doing well despite the track being very wet and muddy. Seems Jack is enjoying himself according to Clement.

Update 22nd April 2025

Trek 1215: The group have now reached Agulogo campsite area where they will spend the night. Tomorrow they will walk through Nauro Village and head further down the track to Ioribaiwa Village before walking out on the 24th. Everyone continues to do well despite the mud. Yes, lot os mud!
