Gail Thomas
MemberAttention all our trekkers.
In the past we have often been asked if there is anywhere they can place a plaque in honour of their relatives who fought on the Kokoda Track. Until now we have had to say no, nothing in Kokoda.
However, we have just completed a rock wall which can be used for this purpose.
If you bring something with you, we shall find a spot for the plaque on our 'Wall of Remembrance' which is situated in Kokoda at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat which was opened recently by Lady Carol Kidu and some of the relatives who flew in to walk up to the crash site.
Please feel free to bring whatever you wish keeping in mind it is outside and the wall is not covered as per photographs below. Last week there was three plaques placed on the wall on the left hand side in honour of two young women who lost their lives in the Airlines PNG plane crash and Russell's brother Kingsley Eroro.
