MemberThis group commenced their walk today around 11:30am when they walked off from Owers' Corner. Earlier in the morning they were driven into the Bomana War Cemetery before heading out to the drop off point. Tonight finds them camped at 'Goodwater'. Tomorrow they have a big day ahead of them as they head to Naoro Village. Pat Vainerere is their guide and he phoned to say they had a good day and that everyone is doing well.

MemberThis group are now camped at Ofi Creek for the night. All trekkers continue to do well. Tomorrow the plan is to head to Menari. According to our guide, its really hot and trekkers are feeling the heat of the tropics as they make their way along the track.

MemberTrekkers have now reached Menari Village and are all still going well. Emma has probably been doing it the toughest but is hanging in there and Pat says she is ok. After morning tea in Naoro they headed for Agulogo where they stopped and cooled off with a swim in the creek before moving off to Menari arriving there mid afternoon. Tomorrow they will climb up Brigade Hill another tough climb before walking through Efogi the half way point. They will not stop at Efogi but head to Kagi for the night. Apparently no other trekking companies on the track at the moment so they have it all to themselves, well at this point of their walk. A few drops of rain as I was talking to Pat so hopefully it continued and cooled their air for them.

MemberThe group have now reached Kagi Village and continue to do well. From Efogi up to Kagi they walked in rain so a cool change from the 'normal' walk to this village is normally like. At the time I spoke to them, they were preparing for their evening meal. Tomorrow they will head to Eora Creek.

MemberThis trek have decided to stop and camp at Dump 1 for the night instead of heading down to Eora Creek to give them a shorter day. Tomorrow the plan is to reach Isurava Village for the night. Trekkers and porters continue to do well.

MemberThis trek arrived around 6pm tonight at Isurava Village. Emma is doing it really tough so will be mighty proud of herself tomorrow along with other trekkers when they walk under the archway in Kokoda approximately midday tomorrow. Go trek 1008, you are almost at the finish line.
