MemberThis group had an early start this morning as they were up at 5:30am to prepare for their 7am flight to Popondetta. On arrival in Popondetta they were met and driven up to Kokoda arriving there around 11:30am. A look around the Kokoda Station and not long after on the track and heading to Deniki. Later I received a message to say they had reached their destination and all were ok. Trekkers on this trek are:
-
[*]Trevin Erichsen
[*]Cassy Pokarier
[*]Siobhan McEwan
[*]Norbert Schuff – all the way from Los Angeles20151113_055349.jpg

MemberOne phone call this morning and a text received this afternoon. The first one was when they reached Eora Creek after crossing the cane bridge below. The second by was way of a text – quote: 'We had a good walk today to Dump 1 from Alola arriving here at 2pm. We passed the time bathing in the river and we are all now resting. Nil problems, trekkers and porters are all good and happy. Tomorrow we head to Efogi the half way point'. unquote. Norbert, an American on this trek, spoke to me this morning to organise his ticket from Port Moresby to Madang. He said he had a tough start and wondered if he would finish the trek but now feels good and is plowing along with the rest of the group.

MemberTrekkers left Efogi this morning to head up Brigade Hill. They have now gone through Menari Village and are heading to Naoro for the night. Everyone continues to do well. No rain whatsoever it seems on this trek up to this point so they are making really good time getting into their nightly destinations around 2:30pm each day.

MemberTrekkers have now reached Goodwater and tomorrow will finish their walk when they cross Goldie River and head up to the finish line and under the archway at Owers' Corner. The estimated time will be around 8:30am at which time they will be met and driven down to Port Moresby via Bomana War Cemetery.

MemberA group of 8 trekkers had an early start this morning when they flew over to Popondetta to commence their trek. They were met and driven up to Kokoda arriving around midday. Following their lunch at Saga Village at the home of their guide Clement Harika, they walked up to the Kokoda Station for a look around before heading off under the archway and onto the Kokoda Trail.
Tonight they are at Deniki and according to Clement are doing well. Trekkers in this group are as follows: ‘”
