MemberLast night saw the group at Ua'Ule Creek and tonight they have reached Naoro Village. Tomorrow the plan is to head to Efogi the half way point. According to Clement, all trekkers are doing well. He said it is still dry on the track and they are making good time as they move along the Kokoda Trail:
Please Note: photographs from this trek will be posted when trekkers arrive back in Port Moresby. Stock photographs from previous treks are used here to give you all back home an idea of the terrain and where they are based each day.

MemberSorry, have been travelling, am now back in Australia.
Tonight the group are at Deniki, perfectly positioned to walk off the track tomorrow into Kokoda and under the archway.
Previous nights have been spent at Efogi II and Templeton's Crossing.
Everyone continues to do well and looking forward to walking off the track tomorrow.
Logistic wise, a lot has been happening behind the scene. In order to prepare pizza's for their meal tomorrow night, ham and cheese were flown to Port Moresby. This morning Kingsley Boropi one of our guides flew over to Popondetta with the ingredients but 16kg is the allowance for his bag so other items such as flour; rice; tinned pineapple; sauce; coffee; tea; milk; jam; peanut butter etc were consigned with TNT to be airlifted on the same flight.
However, things did not work out that way as two cartons of milk decided to burst open and were subsequently not uplifted.
Arriving back at my desk, I found an urgent email waiting for me from TNT who were looking for a witness to approve what happened and to give them permission to send the remaining goods.
One of our Oro staff working in the TNT office agreed to go down to the cargo area of the airline and repack the damaged box and hopefully goods will now be uplifted on tomorrow mornings flight to Popondetta and tomorrow night, they can all enjoy some well earned pizza's.

MemberCongratulations trek 1013 – as I just heard you are now in Kokoda – well done everyone from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. Think of them this morning as they walked under the archway in Kokoda.
At the moment they are at the Kokoda Museum area and will soon be driven down to Orohaven Pija to relax, clean their gear etc and enjoy a dip in their creek and some food before they fly back into Port Moresby tomorrow morning.
