MemberTrekkers have safely made their way to Isurava Memorial where they are camped for the night along with approximately 500 other trekkers who will all wake up to the dawn service there tomorrow morning at 5:45am.
Apparently they are all squeezed in like sardines and our group have their own tarpaulin which was carried up yesterday by two boys based in Kokoda.
Following the service they will make their way to Alola and Eora Creek.
Will post photographs tomorrow as very busy time with trekkers arriving in off the track and Anzac Day tomorrow.

MemberWayne seen in the photograph below has got his trekkers to 1900/Myola Junction area. Trekkers reached Isurava on the night of the 24th in time to overnight and wake up the following morning to the service held there for Anzac Day. If you wish to follow this trek please click on the link below. Tomorrow they will head to the half way point of Efogi
Before I returned to PNG, Wayne asked me to purchase for him a new pair of walking boots as he has such a large foot and hard to find here. I hope they fitted him ok
Trivia: Wayne has often our Kokoda Challenge Race and came second one year in a time of just over 19 hours from Owers' Cnr to Kokoda. Most boys take short steps but Wayne strides it out. My son once said, 'have you ever walked alongside Wayne, I replied no. He then went on to say he walks at the speed most people run.
However, this trek is not a race and they are moving along the track at the pace they should be according to their schedule.

MemberTrekkers are on the home straight now. Last night they were at Agulogo and tonight am not sure where they pulled up, either Ofi Creek or Ioribaiwa. Today would have been a tough day as they walked up to the village of Naoro and then onto Maguli Range before making their way to Ioribaiwa Ridge and most likely finished for the day at Ioribaiwa.

MemberTrekkers have now reached Uberi/Goodwater campsite where they will spend the night. Tomorrow they will walk off the track and under the archway at Owers' Corner.
No doubt they are all looking forward to walking off the track first thing in the morning. Apparently there are two buses bogged on the road to Owers' so we are hoping their is no more rain overnight to make it easier for pickup's come tomorrow.
