Three trekkers arrived in town to commence their walk across the track. They were met at the airport and taken to their accommodation. Later in the afternoon they went to the Royal Papua Yacht Club for dinner before hitting the sack for an early rise the next morning.

Trekkers were picked up from where they overnighted and driven out to Bomana War Cemetery on the morning of the 18th June and got away from Owers' Corner around 7am. Trekkers in this group include :

The guide for this trek is Trevor Jinga. Last night he informed me they were all doing just great. It seems its dry with no rain at the moment so they are making good time as they move along the track.

Trekkers reached Menari as planned where they spent the night. This morning they would be preparing themselves to reach Kagi Village. So another tough day ahead of them today as they have a hard climb up Brigade Hill before walking down and through Efogi.

There is an airstrip at Menari so picture them today walking alongside of it.

This group have now reached the area commonly referred to as 'Bombers Camp' which is the Port Moresby side of Mt Bellamy. Everyone continues to do well.

Tomorrow the plan is to reach Eora Creek. Today trekkers were taken into Myola and back to the track again before continuing on to their destination point for today.

This trek decided to skip Eora Creek and head to Alola. Yesterday the reached Hoi Village for the night and mid morning they walked into Kokoda.

At the moment they are all relaxing at our base in Kokoda, Orohaven. Tomorrow they will be up early in order to be driven down to Popondetta to catch their flight back to Port Moresby.

On behalf of Kokoda Trekking, congratulations to you all from our KTL team. Well done!
