MemberTwo trekkers had an early start this morning when they were picked up from their accommodation in Port Moresby around 6am and driven up to Owers' Corner for the commencement of their trek.
Trekkers are: Matt McGilton and Bruce Oakley.
This group are now at Ioribaiwa Village where they will spend the night before moving off tomorrow to climb Maguli Range, walk through Naoro Village and head down to Agulogo for the night camped next to a creek.
The guide for this trek is Eric Uwea from Sogeri.

MemberEric Uwea called by sat phone a short while ago to say they have reached the half way point of Efogi around 4:30pm this afternoon He said trekkers are enjoying their trek and also the views.
It seems they pushed past Efogi (1) and decided to stop for the night at Lanununu Village – Efogi (2).

MemberTrekkers have had the track to themselves and have not passed anyone it seems. Last night was spent at Templeton's (2). This morning they walked across the bridge below at Eora Creek before continuing their walk up to Alola Vilage. Around midday they reached Isurava Memorial and as I type they are heading to Deniki for the night.
Tomorrow they will walk off the track into Kokoda. They have had a bit of rain it seems but according to their guide Eric Uwea, they are enjoying themselves and are quite quick. No doubt getting excited knowing the finish line is not too far away.

MemberCongratulations to Trek 958 who spent last night at Hoi Village and walked off the track this morning. At the present time trekkers are relaxing at Orohaven our base in Kokoda. Well done guys. Try and picture them as they walked under the Kokoda Archway.
