Today, Kokoda Trekking welcomed to PNG a group of 14 trekkers. Three arrived earlier on a flight from Lae after having ridden their bikes all the way from the Sepik area of PNG to the Morobe Province so must be pretty fit.

Some photographs were taken today but I am yet to receive them to post. Will do so as soon as I have them on hand.

I received a sat phone call from Wayne saying they arrived at Owers' Corner around 4pm and made their way down to Goldie River where they are camped for the night.

Trekkers are on the move and have now reached Imita Ridge. They will continue their walk and according to their guide Wayne Urina Tihimi, the plan is to reach Ofi Creek this afternoon where they will set up camp for the night.

Think of them today as they walk across creeks such as the one below many many times.

Wayne the guide for this trek called me tonight to say they had reached their destination of Ofi Creek.

He said two of the trekkers had requested porters but all were ok and doing well.

Heard from Wayne that this trek has now reached Menari Village. All trekkers continue to do well. Tomorrow they will head to Naduri Village.

According to Wayne, its been a dry trek up until now but it might get wet as they head over to the Kokoda side of the track.

Have not heard from the track today but when I last spoke to Wayne he was at Naduri Village and said today they would reach either Templeton's Crossing plan a) or Eora Creek plan b).

Wayne stated that they are all having a lot of fun out on the track and looking forward now to the completion of their trek in Kokoda.

Wayne phoned in earlier today to say they spent the night at Isurava and as planned would walk off the track today into Kokoda.

Everything went ahead as planned and they are all now relaxing at our base in Kokoda, Orohaven.

Well done everyone from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking.

Feel how excited they would have been walking under the Kokoda Archway in celebration of their successful trek.

Trekkers flew back into Port Moresby from Kokoda this morning and were met by our staff. They all made their way to the international terminal for their flight back to Australia.

We would like to thank you all for choosing to walk with Kokoda Trekking. Congratulations on your successful trek, well done
