This trek got away this morning from Owers' Corner with my son Shane and a young woman by the name of Jacintha who was supposed to walk with her brother but unfortunately he could not make it. Tonight they are at Goodwater campsite. Earlier today they would have crossed over Goldie River refer pic below.

Photographs of this trek will be uploaded by my son Shane upon completion of their trek.

Trekkers have now reached Ofi Creek where they are spending the night. Tomorrow they will have a tough climb up Maguli Range before passing through Naoro and heading down to Agulogo for the night.

Trekkers spent last night at Efogi and today have stopped for the day at what is commonly referred to as Dump 1. According to Shane who phoned me this afternoon, the trek is going ahead as planned with no problems whatsoever.

Trekkers are presently at Isurava Memorial and today will walk off the track into Kokoda. Everything has gone well and no doubt they are looking forward to walking under the Kokoda Archway at around 2pm this afternoon.

Congratulations are in order for this trek as they walked into Kokoda Station around 2pm this afternoon.

Well done Jacintha from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. After arriving in Kokoda, they walked down to Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. Tomorrow they will be driven down to Popondetta for their flight to Port Moresby.
