MemberLast night we had the pleasure of meeting up with Julia Nguyen, our very first Vietnamese trekker. Julia informed me she arrived in Australia as a 6 year old and is now a dentist working in Melbourne. Even though she is the only trekker, I am sure they will all enjoy this trek as Julia has a bubbly personality and will keep them all chatting away as they walk along the track together.
The photograph below was taken outside the Sogeri Lodge where Julia spent the night. The second photograph was taken minutes after she boarded our troopcarrier for the drive out to Owers' Corenr:

MemberThe group had planned on heading for Ua'Ule Creek but it seems the track today was very slippery and wet so we are suspecting they stopped at Goodwater Campsite for the night.

MemberJulie is heading for the finish line, well almost. This morning her and the Kokoda Trekking team walking with her passed through the highlight of the track, Isurava Memorial. They are now heading towards Deniki and tomorrow will walk off the track. Its all downhill now so no more climbing, up up up.
I texted to Eric both your messages so hopefully when they reach Deniki he will receive them and Julia will get to read them. Thanks for posting as I am sure she will get a kick out of knowing they have reached her whilst still out on the track.
