MemberA few hickups with this trek but nothing that caused us too many problems as we are based in Port Moresby so the problem was easily fixed.
Early on the morning of the 5th April I received a phone call from Nathan in Australia informing me that Peter and Kylee due to a technical problem with their flight out of Sydney, would not arrive in time for their connecting flight to PNG. Andrew Andrew McConnell their friend was arriving as per schedule but their trek would not be able to commence on the morning of the 6th April until his fellow companions arrived on today's flight at 1:05.
So patiently he waited until we arrived at Sogeri Lodge to picked up for the drive out to Owers' Corner.
On today's flight was also our next two trekkers from trek 802. Therefore the photograph below is of Kylee and her father Peter Try along with Michael Green and Sarah Flatters

MemberLast night as planned due to their late start this group stayed at Goldie River. This morning Shane contacted me from Imita Ridge around 9am saying they were all going well and heading to Ofi Creek for the night.

MemberTrekkers passed through Naoro Village yesterday and headed down to Agulogo to spend the night. Everyone continues to do well. Today they will reach the half way point of Efogi and depending on the time may stop there the night or walk further to Naduri Vilalge.

MemberMid afternoon today, trekkers reached the Isurava Memorial area where they are spending the night. Tomorrow around midday they should reach the Kokoda Station and walk under the archway.
No doubt they will be very happy to know they have completed their trek successfully and will have lots of stories to share once back home.

MemberCongratulations are in order as 'Trek 842' walked off the trail today and are presently relaxing at our base in Kokoda Orohaven Kokoda Retreat.
The last I heard, was that they were sitting around enjoying the hospitality of our staff and enjoying a few beers.
