Boss Meri
MemberThis morning we said goodbye to our latest group of trekkers, namely, David and Carl Werner along with Richard Mallett. They all looked pretty relaxed as they prepared to move off from Owers' Corner.
The photographs below were taken at Sogeri Lodge:

MemberAt Owers' Corner they were introduced to their personal porters who then added their personal items to their backpacks.

MemberTrekkers have now reached the half way point of Efogi. No doubt they are feeling pretty proud of themselves right now as they head for the finish line in a couple of days time.

MemberTrekkers were supposed to walk off the track today but have decided to spend another night on the track at Deniki and will walk into Kokoda tomorrow.
They chose a tough trek and I am guessing they got what they asked but when I spoke to one of them tonight, they were sounding positive and looking forward to finishing tomorrow but probably not having to change their tickets as they will now fly into Port Moresby on Sunday instead of tomorrow Saturday.
From Deniki they can see Kokoda so will no doubt be pumped up tomorrow as they head for the finish line.

MemberCongratulations to these three guys, our first two Americans and a guy from England on anyone trek all over 50! You did extremely well so you should all be proud of yourselves.
We trust you enjoyed your trek and that you managed to get back to Hong Kong ok due to missing your connections. As for Carl hopefully he enjoys some more diving in Cairns before heading back home.
