Trek 864 left Owers' Corner today. An American was going to be walking solo until a young man from Sydney at the last minute joined this trek so now they both have company.
In fact when I picked them up this morning, Dennis remarked that he was ready and how about my companion so no doubt looking forward to someone to share the trek with.
Both guys came across as having nice personalities so I am sure they will enjoy their trek. Trekkers on this trek include :
Dennis Donovan and Ismail Khan
Both trekkers were going to be carrying but Dennis has yelled for a porter at Goodwater. We were lucky to have a porter here at the base by the name of Jackie. He was driven up to Owers' Corner around 4pm this afternoon and a few minutes ago I received a phone call to say he has arrive at Ioroaiwba at 9pm
I have tried to post photographs but for some reason or other I can't.
As for the trekkers, they have reached Ioraiwba and are both doing well so with our porters.

MemberMy apology as I could not update due to some technical problem. Was informed it was as a result of moving the website from one server to another.
These two trekkers are now heading towards Kokoda so have skipped a few days but both doing well and will walk off the track tomorrow.
The following day they will fly back to Port Moresby and will no doubt have lots to talk about.
The plan was to reach a) Eora Creek or B) Alola Village. Will wait to hear from the track tomorrow as to where they spent the night.
No doubt tomorrow they will be excited as they walk off the track and celebrate their successful trek.
We had another group commence in Kokoda today. Both treks will cross paths tomorrow when these two trekkers might enlighten the new group trekking in the opposite direction just what lies ahead of them.
