MemberOne trekker Malcolm Bam flew in from South Africa for this trek and ended up being 4 days in transit due to a connecting flight not eventuating but arrive he did just in time for his trek at 5am that morning. After meeting up with Malcolm, he boarded a bus with Shane and our staff and headed out to Bomana War Cemetery.

MemberAfter arriving at Sogeri Lodge remaining trekkers were up and ready to embark on a lifetime experience as they too prepared to board the bus and head out to Owers' Corner along with our porters who would share with them the high's and low's that the track will throw at them.

MemberAt Owers' Corner trekkers met up with their porters. As I had a trek flying in yesterday I did not go up on the bus so have to hope my son stuck to the schedule and put trekkers with the porters I selected. If I have the wrong person matched up, please forgive me.
Am assuming it is Olivia Basil with Garni Bore as her personal porter.

MemberLast but not least, Anna Barnes and Simon Harvey team up with Moses Buka, the younger brother of the trek hero 'Brendan Buka' who has won our Kokoda Challenge Race for the past 4 times we have run the race. Moses finished equal 3rd in this year's race but told me yesterday he plans on winning our next race.

MemberShane just called in and said yesterday as planned they reached Ua'Ule Creek and are now heading towards Nauro for the night. He says everyone is tired at the moment but the group are doing well.

MemberLast night trekkers spent the night at Templeton's Crossing and today have reached Isurava Village. Tomorrow they will walk into Kokoda around midday according to Shane.
All trekkers continue to do well and no doubt are looking forward to completing their trek. Tonight I was talking to someone in Kokoda and could hear the heavy rain falling on the roof so tomorrow could prove a bit wet and slippery.
