MemberAt Port Moresby International airport the first to arrive ws Robin Farrington who was due to commence his trek on the 20th July however whilst waiting and talking to other trekkers it was soon apparent that he would join trek 765 commencing a day earlier then the trek he had initially booked. Therefore instead of a group of 7, they soon became a group of 8. Trekkers are made up as follows:
- John McMillan
- John's sons, James and Lachlan McMillan
- Jim Hunt and his daughter Amy and son Ryan
- Kylie Cook
- Robin Farrington
Before we departed we took a shot of the group outside the Sogeri Lodge.

MemberAt Owers' Corner Harold Hauro met his trekker Kylie Cook. John McMillan also met with Fordy Suma who would accompany him on the track. A special bond was already formed as Fordy had taken the initiative to carve a walking stick for him prior to his arrival from Kokoda. This stick was given to John who immediately took a liking to it.
