We were all up bright and early yesterday to drive out to Owers' Corner our latest group of trekkers. When we arrived at the drop off point there was lots of talk as they joked, well we might just hop back in the car and go back home – this was after they saw their first glimpse of the hills! However, the joked and got ready to walk down their first descent and we snapped various photographs. This trek is lead by Trevor Jinga. At Owers' Corner the first lot of photographs was with their personal porters. Trekkers in this group include four family members and a ring-in from Brisbane.

IMGP3704__640x480_.JPGTrekkers reached Isurava earliler today and their guide Trevor called in from Deneki and said they were walking off the track today 1 day ahead of schedule.
I managed to pass on a message from Aaron to Emma and she said a big THANK YOU!
Both trekkers and porters have done well.
Congratulations are in order for trek 728 as they walked off the track today and are presently at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. Initially the plan was to stay at Hoi for the night but seems they changed their mind when they saw how close to the finish line they were. They arrived at Orohaven around 5pm
