MemberThree trekkers walked off earlier this morning from Owers' Corner with Dudley Bubura as their local guide. Trekkers are made up as follows:
- Nicholas Gray along with his mate
- Paul McGuinness – all the way from Ireland
- plus his brother-in-law Steve Cazzulino – a well known Australian Cricketer – Major teams New South Wales Second XI, New South Wales Under-23s, St George, Tasmania, Tasmania Under-23s
In this photograph is a smiling Dudley Bubura their local guide who is excited to be leading his first trek of the season.

MemberYesterday they spent some time at the Kokoda Trail Motel sharing a few drinks around the bar. In this photograph they are outside the entrance way about to head up to Sogeri Lodge where they spent the night.

MemberThis morning trekkers were picked up at 7:30 for the drive out to Owers' Corner. Our staff eagerly packed the troopcarrier as they had been up since 5:30 having their breakfast and were keen to hit the track.
At Owers' Corner we took a group photograph under the archway.

MemberTrekkers are now at Templeton's Crossing 2. Dudley called up today from the highest point of Mt Bellamy and said all was ok. Later my son Shane who is walking in the same direction confirmed they had reached Templeton's.

MemberUpdate Sunday 29th May: Trekkers were to spend last night at Isurava Village and today will walk off the track into Kokoda, the finish line for their trek. So whatever you are doing today, think of this group walking along feeling excited to cross the finish line after having successfully completing their trek.
Photograph: The Kokoda Memorial Foundation volunteers who constructed the archway in Kokoda. They are also responsible for the one at the beginning of the track at Owers' Corner. A great way to start and a great way to finish with an archway each end of the track/trail.
