This morning we dropped off at Owers' Corner a German guy by the name of Andreas Kucher who is on a fast trek finishing in Kokoda on the 26th September. He looks fit and eager to walk the Kokoda Trail.

In the photographs below, Andreas not long after he had arrived at Owers' Corner.

On the way out to Owers' Corner we found out that he has already been in PNG for awhile and has travelled to the Sepik River on a 4 day visit and Rabaul. Just before arriving in Port Moresby he attended the Goroka Show.

So as you can see, he has managed to fit in a lot during his visit and is now on the Kokoda Track to add to his list of things to do!

Andreas can be seen here about to head off down his first descent with his guide Tarina Bore and Kingsley Boropi. Another guy by the name of Cyprian Ujara was missing from these photographs but is also on the track.

Andreas and our KTL boys have now reached Alola Village where they are spending the night. I was informed they have made good time despite Andreas suffering from blisters.

Tomorrow they are confident they will walk out in Kokoda to complete their trek.

Yesterday as planned Andreas and our KTL boys walked off the track and arrived at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. Earlier this morning he travelled down to Popondetta and flew into Port Moresby arriving here shortly after 9am this morning.

Not long after he arrived he climbed inside the Loloata Dive Resort bus and headed off for a bit of diving.

We at Kokoda Trekking would like to say thank you for choosing to walk the track with us and our KTL boys.
