MemberWalking with the group is Sione Orasambo along with his guitar. Garni Bore who came in off a track last week and is now turning back to walk home. With them is Clement Harika who loves talking about the history and Ramsi who is normally a personal porter however on this occasion is walking as a food porter.
In this photograph left to right are as follows:
Sione, Garni and Clement. Missing is Ramsi but can only assume he was the one taking the photograph.

MemberUpdate 22nd September: Heard from Shane earlier this morning and he said everyone was ok. The first night on the track they spent the night at Ua'Ule Creek. Last night they were at Ofi Creek and today when they called in were at Jap's Ladder.
Tonight they are planning on being somewhere in the Menari area.

MemberThe group have now passed the half way point of Efogi and tonight should have reached Myola Junction. We have not heard from them today but if there was a problem they would certainly have let us know.
Tomorrow they should reach Eora Creek and the following night Isurava. Will update as soon as I heard from the track as to exactly where they spent their nights.

MemberCongratulations are in order for Trek 612 as they reached Kokoda today and are now relaxing at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. I am told their clothes are in the wash and they are presently sitting around the bar area. They walked off the track around 1pm today.
The 'couple' on this trek will sleep in the bed below tonight whilst the others will sleep on stretcher beds in another bungalow.
The local PNG brewery is referred to as SP…no doubt there will be a few presently being drank at Orohaven this afternoon.

MemberUpdate 27th September: As per plan, trekkers arrived in off the track from Kokoda today. Turns out we had two people on their honeymoon who remain still in PNG. The other three along with Shane headed back to Australia this afternoon.
The two brothers said they enjoyed their trek and referred to our base in Kokoda at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat as an 'Oasis' ! They all had smiles from ear to ear so obviously had a great trek swapping email addresses and so on.
We at Kokoda Trekking would like to send a big thank you to everyone for choosing to walk with us.
