    Shane Thomas met with Craig Foster who arrived on an Airline PNG flight and drove out to Bomana War Cemetery on their way up to Sogeri Lodge where they spent the night.

    No doubt they enjoyed a few beers yesterday afternoon and discussed the trek ahead of them.

    This morning it was our turn to meet up with Craig and Shane when we picked them up from the Sogeri Lodge. On the way out we stopped off at McDonald's Corner:

    Update 12:50pm: Have just received a phone call from Shane to say they have just reached Imita Ridge. They will move on down to Ua'Ule Creek where they will spend the night.

    I heard from Shane that they have reached Japs Ladder where they will spend the night. All is going ahead as per plan.

    Update 5th May: Have just got off the phone at 7:35am after talking to Shane and Craig from Maguli Range. Today they are heading for Menari where they will spend the night. I read out your messages and his reply is as follows:

    His message to me was …. you did not tell me the hills were so high!!!

    He said Shane and our boys are all doing a great job in taking care of him so you can rest he is in good hands out on the Kokoda Track.

    Update 5th May: The group have now reached Menari Village where they are spending the night. Shane called me on the sat phone and it was breaking up a bit but sounded like everything is still going ahead as planned and they are just taking it easy.
