MemberUpdate 20th August: Trekkers have now made it to Eora Creek where they will spend the night.
Our guide said everyone was doing well and coping ok with the conditions.
This morning they passed by Isurava Monument area and apparently were quite impressed it seems.

MemberJust looking at the photo of the Isurava Monument grounds.
It looks so serene and peaceful. Who would have known that one of the most bloodiest, fiercest battles of Kokoda took place here? *tries to imagine, but doesn't even come close*
How would you be walking through there knowing that hundreds of footsteps have gone before you in the very steps that you take? How would it feel to know that (pick a spot on the grass) a soldier dropped dead fighting for our country right where you are standing.
That right there where you are standing, BANG! There went someone's right shoulder. Another bang and they are now at your feet – but not without firing back at the enemy until their very last breath.
It's almost as if walking on hallowed ground.
I am literally blown away by it all (no pun intended). I just can't begin to fathom what it would've been like for those couragous, selfless soldiers who gave their all to protect Australia from invasion.
*cries* It really is moving. I'm a blubbering mess at the computer – what am I going to be like when I actually walk the track itself?!

MemberUpdate 23rd August: Trekkers have now reached Menari but we are not sure whether they are staying there or have pushed on down to Agulogo which of late has been their preferred campsite area as its next to the river and the boys love it there.
All trekkers are still doing ok and enjoying their trek.
