This group of trekkers got to sleep in a little and were picked up from the Gateway Hotel at 7am and took off for Kokoda around 9:30am. Trekkers are:

Well all your girls went shopping today and found lots of bargains!! Apparently Queensland won the State Of Origin – but the score will have to wait.. Oops – did you want to know that?? Hope you're going well. The girls and I are enjoying our holiday and can't believe it's Thursday already. A BIG HELLO to Pa, Tracey, Poodle, Glenn and you.. We had morning tea today at the danish flower art with 10 kiddies (Ruth, Anita, Grandma, Mum) and Liam was addicted to the forklift… no surprise there! TO KELVIN: Went 10-pin today. Good fun. It's raining here. 'Cold, wet and miserable'!!! (You don't know what it's like!). Peter, Greta and Carissa arrive tonight for a couple of nights. Update 4th July: Trekkers spent last night at Efogi where they topped up on their half way food before heading off today to Brigade Hill. Later they passed through Menari and tonight at Agulogo. All trekkers are doing just fine.

Brigade_Hill_1__Small_.jpgUpdate 5th July: Trekkers have now reached the half way point of Efogi where they have stocked up on their half way food before heading up to Brigade Hill tomorrow and then on to Agulogo to camp next to the river.
All trekkers are doing well it seems and from the way Johnsford spoke earlier this morning, they are having a great time.

Went to the pub last night and I had to get up from the open fire and walk up a BIG flight of stairs to get to the toilet… Damn Arduous I can tell you. The beer was 7 degrees instead of 4 as well …..All jokes aside I wish I was back over there with you guys. You guys got Big John so Well Done on that as well. Count the false peaks in few days, I lost count (too bloody tired) after 9.
